Photograph caption dated March 21, 1956 reads "Bobby Escalante, 12, of 10774 Bartee St., San Fernando, holds citations he received for courage in saving Guy Schembri, two months, of Sylmar, when fire destroyed baby's home. Honoring youth at O'Melveny PTA meeting were, from left, John W. Wood, Pacoima civilian defense director; Mrs. H. W. Huber, president, San Fernando Council PTA, and Capt. George S. Kelly, Los Angeles City Fire Department."
