Image reproduced for an article published on October 29, 1955 and identified as coming from a collection of old pictures from El Segundo Chamber of Commerce and the Security-First National Bank. Residents of El Segundo gathered for celebration of the coming of the first Pacific Electric car, on direct line from Los Angeles, in 1914. The Pacific Electric helped the growth of El Segundo. Today, most El Segundo residents are Douglas Aircraft workers.
