Description
Dr. Einstein, who comes from Germany as the greatest scientist and mathematician of the ages, is the father of the theory of relativity, which only a half dozen men in the world are capable of understanding, it is said. Dr. Michelson is famous for his experiments in measuring the speed of light. Dr. Millikan is noted chiefly for his discovery of the cosmic rays that may hold the secret of life. The savants, each of whom has won the Nobel prize for achievements in physics, will confer in Pasadena. They will compare notes and discuss their findings relating to the Einstein theory that time is a fourth dimension and that, like space, it partakes of no reality except in connection with matter. Note the high, broad foreheads of the three geniuses, denoting their tremendous mental development. Photo dated: December 31, 1930.
