Description
Bust-length portrait.
1990-1749.
Van Heusen was born in Albany, New York, 1814. Arrived in California via Isthmus in 1849. Settled in Sacramento. Worked as carpenter and contractor, built Elephant House, Sutter Hotel. As part of firm, Van Heusen & Huntoon, manufactured and sold furniture. Died in 1885.
