In this audio recording Peter F. Drucker discusses his ideas on management in his audiobook, “The Nonprofit Drucker.” This tape is part of the series, “People and Relationships.” Drucker begins by explaining the relationship between an organization and the board of directors, and says that the board is the guardian of the mission of an institution. He discusses the planning and review function of the Board of Directors. He talks about the best and most effective boards, and states the importance of a strong CEO and chairman. Drucker advises what to do when a board member isn’t doing his or her proper job. He ends by talking about donor relationships, and how to solicit money for an institution.
