Photograph caption dated March 6, 1956 reads "Alicia Alonso (right), world-famed prima ballerina who recently appeared with the Monte Carlo Ballet was guest of honor at a post-ballet gathering at the Encino home of the John Meredyth Lucases. Chatting with Miss Alonso (from left) are Valleyites Karen Sharpe, Rod McKuen and hostess Joan Lucas. Mr. Lucas is the author of 'Dance Out of Darkness,' the story of Miss Alonso's life, which will be filmed in Hollywood this summer."
