Photograph of the Moon alphabet, ca.1932. Accompanied by letters of the English alphabet, the "letters" of the Moon alphabet line a chart, with the English letters alternating rows with the Moon letters. On the last line, several short words are inscribed along with the letters, giving the Moon characters for words like "and", "the", and "ing."
