Description
The "Castle" was a large Queen Anne style house originally located at 325 S. Bunker Hill Ave. Built around 1882, and once owned by Daniel Donegan, the home was moved to Heritage Square in 1969 to be restored. However, after the building was relocated, it was burned to the ground by arsonists.
"The Castle," now a reminder of Victorian architecture, sits atop Bunker Hill as the last major fight of redevelopment rages. Photograph dated December 10, 1968.
