In the background there is a large poster with Augusto César Sandino's face and it reads, "At 20 years after his fight, we swear to defend Victory!!." El papa Juan Pablo II alza sus manos y sonríe hacia la multitud en frente de él durante su visita a Nicaragua en marzo de 1983. Detrás de él se encuentran varios miembros del clero no identificados.
