Description
BH's copy of the reply to the USIA's circular requesting assistance with his film Eulogy to 5:02. Baghdad's weather on May 18th is reported along with a detailed description of how Iraqis spend this time of the year. Two Polaroid photos of Moaid al Badri, the popular TV sports editor, giving his news reports and clips of sports events around the world at 5:02 London time on May 18th are attached (see the photograph section for Eulogy to 5:02 in The Bruce Herschensohn Collection). The departure that day of the President (Marshal Abdul Salam Mohammad Arif) with the Iraqi delegation for a joint meeting of Iraq and the United Arab Republic in Cairo is also noted.
