Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated August 18, 1961 reads, "San Fernando repaving work continues - A bulldozer moves earth in the $60,000 California Highway Department project of rebuilding and resurfacing the two center lanes of San Fernando road through the center of the city of San Fernando from Hubbard street to the Pacoima wash. Construction work was begun Aug. 8 and is scheduled to run for 30 days.
