Description
Annotation translation: "Kurg people". Annotation: "Kurgleute." Identity of photographer questionable. Note: "... im Dienst der national.schott. Bibelgesellschaft. No. 2 d. Männer ist Christ, No. 1, 3, 4 sind Heiden, die 3 Knaben sind Zöglinge des Waisenhauses." (C-30-0,2). - Friedrich Schweikhardt vermutlich Bildlieferant. (C-30-0,2). Note translation: "... in the service of the Scottish National Bible Society. The second man is a christian, nos. 1,3 and 4 are non-christians. The three boys are from the orphanage." (C-30-0,2). - Probably handed over to the collection by Friedrich Schweickhardt. (C-30-0,2). - Clearly the well-dressed man on the extreme right is the colporteur, which makes sense of the reference to men numbers 1 to 4. (PJ 02.2001).
