Photograph caption dated August 1, 1956 reads, "Henry Asplund, standing, electrical maintenance foreman, and Russell Alexander, superintendent of operations at Valley Steam Plant, check water level in boilers by means of television cameras. TV is also used to look into fire boxes where extremem heat makes direct view of flames possible."
