In: [Scenes of Sacramento] [manuscript] / Eugene Walter Hepting. [Sacramento, Calif. : E. Hepting, 1938?], Vol. C, leaf 45.
A large wood-clad home sits on a corner lot but is located to the left of the actual corner; the entrance is on the left side, up a set of stairs to a covered porch, supported by columns; home is two floors with a basement; on second floor above entrance is bay window;on right side is a bay window with two rectangular windows on each floor crowned by decorative swags next to a rectangular addition which juts out from the side with its own roof and windows that reach half the distance to the bottom of the structure.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
"Home of P.C. Dreschler in the 'gay 90's... Building now used as The Community Chest 'hiring' headquarters...Yoerk home in 1885."
