Description
Letter of sympathy to Mrs. S. Hamada, that is, Chito Hamada, in Gila River Incarceration Camp on the death of her daughter, Megumi, from Tsugi Kubo's co-workers at the United Service Organizations (USO), Chicago branch.
James J. Kubo (b. 1916) was married to Tsugi Hamada (b. 1918) and opened an optometrist business in Sacramento in 1938. They had two sons, Ronald and Douglas, and a daughter, Beverly. He was incarcerated at Tule Lake Incarceration Camp until he left for Chicago and was drafted into the Military Intelligence Service (MIS). Mr. Kubo returned to Sacramento after completing his service at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
