Description
A group of men are seen with piles of dead rabbits killed in a rabbit drive near the Mountain View Dairy, about thirteen miles southwest of Bakersfield in Kern County. This was the eighth of a series of rabbit drives in the area, which have killed an estimated total of 135,000 full-grown rabbits, thus sparing the farmers in that end of the valley without rabbit-tight fences from being compelled to surrender their ranches to the pests. The drives took place in January, February and March of an uynidentified year.
