Description
1989-1185. In: [Scenes of Sacramento] [manuscript] / Eugene Walter Hepting. [Sacramento, Calif. : E. Hepting, 1938?], Vol. C, leaf 2. Corner view of a single building; on the left is the entrance and above it hangs a large sign of a paint can with "FULLER PAINTS They last" on it; at top of windows on left hang short pleated curtains as a border; top of the building is decorated with an alternating patter of large rosettes and urns; four pillasters divide facade into three windows; at the corner are two pillasters, one for each side; pillasters divide up the side of the building around the corner. Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento. Erected the present building in 1906 which they occupied until 1924 when they moved into their new building at 1013 12th street.
