Tealsch, Lake View Terrace, took command of the sheriff's station in August, and received a promotion in rank from lieutenant to captain at the same time. The 31-year-old bachelor has served with virtually every detail of the sheriff's department from juvenile to vice. He has worked out of sheriff's stations at Biscailuz center, Firestone station, the Los Angeles County Jail, Mira Loma center, Lennox station and Norwalk station. Capt. Tealsch replaces Capt. Sidney Holmes, who has been reassigned to the San Dimas sheriff's station."
