Description
Photograph was edited for publication purposes.
Photograph article dated May 4, 1963 partially reads, "The Rev. Charles Chappell, pastor at Magnolia Park Community Methodist Church, charges Christianity with being the most revolutionary movement in the world. As a missionary to Africa for 27 years, he has witnessed this 'enemy of colonialism at work.' He sees the missionary movement as the foundation of much of the surge of backward peoples toward independence. The African experience is only one example of this, the former missionary pointed out."
