Description
With a smile on his face, independent market manager Russell Foss pastes up "Open Today" sign on his place at 3488 West Eighth Street. His happy attitude relects on many other independents whose business is expected to triple as a result of the strike-lockout of the Retail Clerks Union in the Los Angeles area. Housewives like Mrs. Simone Garneau are glad they can find food for their families. Photo dated: January 3, 1959.
