This photo shows Capt. William Bright, left, and Police Chemist Ray Pinkert examining a pair of dusty old shoes which are believed to have been worn by the murderer on the trip to the desert. They also found a piece of apparently bloodstained tire flap. This is to be compared with another piece of tire flap found on the desert near the body. A pair of woman's stockings which appeared to have been torn from the wearer's limbs added further mystery. Photo dated: October 27, 1932.
