Description
The south half of the Soledad siphon of the Los Angeles Aqueduct, also called "Mulholland's Folly," when his "crazy scheme" to bring water 250 miles to Los Angeles was under widespread criticism in 1913. Shortly afterward the aqueduct went into successful operation.
