Description: Cairo: Former Egyptian Vice President Aly Sabry pleads 'not guilty' at the opening of his trial, with 90 others, for high treason August 25. Charges stem from an alleged plot to overthrow President Anwar Sadat, and carry a maximum sentence of death or life imprisonment at hard labor. Trial was adjourned for ten days so that defense attorneys could have more time to read over the State's case, a 10,000 page document.
