Description: Image of the Halsted family home with Rev. Abel Stevens sitting near the front porch on Orienta Ranch in Alhambra, California.
"Abel Stevens"--text, handwritten in pencil on front margin. "Halsted"--text, handwritten in ink on verso. "Orienta Ranch, San Gabriel, Cal"--text, handwritten in ink on verso. Title devised by cataloger; date devised by cataloger based on similar items in the collection and the style of clothing. Related item appears to be the same house from an alternate view. Halsted was a pioneer family. Samuel M. Halsted called his land "Orienta Ranch" and was married to Ida R. (Stevens) Halsted, whose father was Rev. Abel Stevens- pictured in photo, a prominent Methodist preacher.
