Description
Photograph caption dated January 6, 1962 reads, "Polytechnic High clinched the West Valley League basketball championship yesterday and pictured are highlights in the Victory over San Fernando at Poly. At left, Poly's Jim Corzatt (55) makes like a ballet dancer trying to get the ball as San Fernando's Gary Merkerson looks on. In photo at right, Cozatt is driving in for a two-pointer, with Merkerson (43), Steve Mickels (44) and John Holmes (52) of San Fernando grouped vainly in an attempt to stop him." Pictured are Corzatt, Merkerson, Mickels and Holmes. See 00160466 for additional photo in this series.
