Title written in pencil below the image to the left. Signed in pencil by artist below the image to the right. "W" above a fouled anchor lower right corner of the image; © next to anchor. This image depicts the Lurline as she was prior to her wartime conversion into a troopship; q.v. the stacks and bow. The Lurline operated from 1932 to 1941, and then, after World War II service as a transport, from 1948 to 1963 for the Matson Navigation Company; she was the third vessel so named. Focus of item: Lurline (1932-1963).
