Three Salvadoran Army soldiers sit as they clean weapons at a camp near Usulután. The soldier in the middle ensures that the tube of an M79 grenade launcher is clean. Behind them in the background is a a soldier standing. The M79 is a U.S. designed and manufactured weapon supplied to the Salvadoran government by the United States. Richard Cross took this image in 1982 while covering the presidential election and War of Liberation in El Salvador.
