Photograph article dated March 21, 1960 reads, "Police officer John Swisher watches William Robert Breeden, 25, of Malibu, emerge from broken window of gas station at Lankershim Boulevard and Strathern Street after he was apprehended inside. Police booked Breeden on suspicion of burglary after he told them "You guys caught me dead bang." Officers found Breeden wearing socks on his hands. Ten new tires had been tossed through window."
