The Black-Foxe Military Institute was located at 637 N. Wilcox Avenue in Hancock Park. Founded in 1928, the school taught kindergarten through twelfth grades and included such notable students as Larry Hagman, Gene Wilder, and Harry Carey Jr. among its alumni. The school was demolished in the late 1960's and condominiums were built in its place.
