Description
"Dr. Buffum's wife, commonly referred to as Madame Buffum, organized The Woman's Thursday Club of Fair Oaks in 1902 and served as the club's first president. The Woman's Thursday Club often celebrated early American colonial celebrations, and the members often dressed like Martha Washington, as Mrs. Buffum is is in this photograph."
