Description
Irene (Savage) King's father was Judge William E. Savage. In 1882 he acquired a 160 acre homestead where he built a six room ranch house in Savage Canyon. She began riding horses at a young age and became an accomplished rider winning competitions at the state level. She talks about her riding, the establishment of Evergreen School, attending dances, her family and other prominent families in Whittier. Interviewer is LoVerne Morris.
