A covered wagon pulled by three burros, with two men inside. A portion of a camp tent can be seen at right.
Title transcribed from item. Signed on mount: "Frederick Monsen." Monsen's typed label on back says: "Butterfield Stage Route. Colorado Desert, California. Photo made in 1889 of outfit traveling from Arkansas to California and traveling over the old Butterfield stage road. It took them nearly six months to make the journey." Same image as (369), which is dated 1895 and says location is Mojave.
