Each day of the show would have a theme flower, and spectators would be presented with that flower. First photograph caption dated February 16, 1949 reads "Caryl and Carylyn Seitz, Dutch twins, display tulip blooms, hundreds of which will be shown at Southern California Flower Show, opening March 10." The women are in a garden with trees in the background, dressed in Dutch style clothing, holding tulips and standing in front of a miniature windmill. The show was held in Pasadena.; Second photograph caption dated February 16, 1949 reads "Caryl and Carylyn Seitz, display tulip blooms, which will be imported from Holland to Southern California Spring Flower Show opening March 10 for four days at famed Fannie E. Morrison Horticultural Center in Pasadena's Brookside Park."
