Description
Annotation translation: "In the centre sits His Majesty, the King of Akem, 17 years old, in a royal dress of blue silk, with gold bracelets on both arms and his left foot, with richly worked golden sandals and a richly decorated whisk made from horse hair in the left hand. A servant holds the umbrella behind him. To his left sits his brother who is still a child. Beside him is the sword-bearer with a three-pieced sword, the golden hilt looking upwards, a feathered headdress and a chain of amulets hanging from his shoulder. Sitting to the right of the king and on the very left are the kings elders, to the very left in a dutch officer's uniform the Asafehene. The rest of men are the kings 'Gyasefo' who have to serve and entertain him."
Identity of photographer questionable.
