Harold Silbert (pictured), who was ineligible last year, is making his first bid for U.S.C. varsity fame and honors in shot putting. He has done 43 feet and a little better in practice. In the novice meet recently, he cut loose with a 44ft. toss, but toppled over. Silbert has never thrown the discus in a meet but is working daily. He comes from Hollywood High School, but did not compete in track athletics there. Photograph dated May 11, 1926.
