Description
A cabinet studio portrait of a Latino girl, Blanchard and Konold, Los Angeles, California, USA, circa 1890s. The girl, perhaps ten years old or so, stands with arm resting against a wicker chair, partially covered by what may be a shawl and with a black hat with large white feathers sitting on it. The subject wears a black knee-length dress, perhaps of taffeta, with white fabric edging on the collar. She wears her hair long and has a white ribbon at the back. With a small dark stain at the top left, a corner damaged and a pinhole at the bottom, the condition is good.
