Group photograph of ranch workers, mostly women with their children, employed by E. J. "Lucky" Baldwin at his ranch in Arcadia. The building on the left may be the residential quarters for these employees. At the time this photograph was taken, the Cottage, Baldwin's guesthouse, was completed on the shore of the lake. In addition to having domestic workers, Baldwin had employees to oversee his extensive fields and vineyards.
