Description
Photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on August 11, 1968 states: "Water level at Folsom Lake is just not what it used to be. Dotted line shows average water line at the lake's Granite Bay beach. Swimmers find they have to hoof it for quite a ways. State parks officials have said the low water level has curtailed recreational use of the lake somewhat. They issued a warning about knolls, rocky ledges and tree stumps as a hazard to boaters and water skiers. The exposed lake bed is muddy and dangerous."
