Description
Photograph of the exterior of an adobe with two Palm Springs Indians in front, ca.1934. The hut is made from adobe bricks with a crude roof made of wood and thatch. The wooden door is being held open by an Indian boy wearing overalls and a long-sleeved shirt. His left hand is in his pocket and he is barefoot, just like the woman standing at the right side of the photograph. She is wearing a light-colored dress and is considerably taller than the boy. Around the woman, there are trees and plants, and hidden within these is a wooden frame leaning against a box.
