Three men in a Maasai Village in Northern Tanzania perform a task with a wooden object while children and other villagers observe. In the late 1970s, American visual anthropologist, Richard Cross, was invited to photograph the Maasai people in the region. Cross received the invitation while doing graduate work at Temple University in Philadelphia. While in Tanzania, Cross photographed the cultural traditions, tribal rituals and daily life of the Maasai people.
