Description
This May 3, 1947, photograph shows a teeming Land Park Plunge, located at Riverside Boulevard and Eleventh Avenue. The pool was served by an artesian well, tapped a half-mile deep, and providing a near constant flow of fresh water, always at 82 degrees, to the tank. The tank was refilled every evening. To the right of the frame is Riverside Boulevard. The pool was demolished in 1953 to make room for the Temple B’Nai Israel Synangogue.
