Photograph caption dated June 6, 1950 reads, "Donald P. Bookwalter, 23, of Sacramento, is in Valley jail today, confessed robber of Van Nuys branch of Bank of America, after giving himself up to police because his girl friend, Miss Margaret Sweet, 20, a dance hall hostess of Van Nuys, told him to."
