Description
Two dolls depicting a male and female Meo Lai (Striped HMong) couple sit on a log. The man (seated on the left) wears a black jacket with red trim buttoned diagonally over his chest with silver beads representing clasps. He wears black pants, a black cap with a large red pompom on top, and silver necklaces and neck rings. The doll holds a woven basket filled with multicolored pompoms (representing balls of yarn) in his lap. The woman (seated on the right) wears a blue-colored jacket with red trim, and a black skirt with multi-colored stripes. She wears a simple, blue and white plaid scarf on her head, silver jewelry, and is seen holding a needle in her right hand and a long piece of striped cloth in the other. Original title from SEACRC: HMong couple
