Description
Photograph caption dated May 4, 1950 reads "Mrs. George Weigele, 5431 Willowcrest Ave., North Hollywood, feeds few days old kitten with eyedropper. Baby cat was sole survivor of cat family which perished in furniture factory fire at 5401 Cahuenga Blvd., North Hollywood. Mrs. Weigele seeks owner of a mother cat to take kitten for feeding. Kitten was found by fire inspector, almost lifeless, with bodies of mother cat and two other kittens. He gave animal to Weigele children, Gary, 14, and Kenneth, 12, who revived it by placing it in oven and thawing it out."
