Description
Cannery quality fruit like this failed for years to break even in either the fresh or canning market. Leonard was seeking an outlet for a premium grade of dried apricot after 1927. Prior to that time his fresh pack consistently topped the Bay Area fresh markets at $80 to $120 per ton. Market levels sagged about 50% after 1927.
