Photograph caption dated March 31, 1965 reads, "Dedication ceremonies took place yesterday for the Mission Hills addition to Brand Park. Taking part were Los Angeles City Councilman Louis Nowell, second from left, who points out permanent plaque naming the new addition, and helping Nowell were, from left, Brad Johnson, honorary sheriff of Mission Hills Lee Hamer, president of the Mission Hills Chamber of Commerce; Merry Anders, honorary mayor of Mission Hills, and Joe Quinn, representing Mayor Samuel Yorty."
