Print reproduced in 1952 for Herald-Examiner's article on the Dept. of Water and Power's 50th anniversary. Photo originally owned by Dept. of Water and Power, no. 51-182.
Men walk the inlet line at the bottom of the Baldwin Hills Reservoir as the first flow of water enters. People at the bottom as well as on the walkway connecting the outlet tower to the rim are watching the process. The water comes from Owens Valley by way of the Los Angeles Owens Valley Aquaduct.
