Includes recordings related to social movements in California, specifically in the Bay Area and at the UC Berkeley. Recordings focus on student, women's, Third World, anti-war, and other social movements and activism. This contains a panel discussion of the alliance between the Black Panthers and the Peace and Freedom Party.
Note on original container: In this panel discussion of the alliance between the Black Panthers and the Peace and Freedom Party, Bobby Seale, chairman of the Black Panther Party, explains why they carry guns and for what purposes. Other participants in the discussion are Bob Avakian and Mike Parker of the Peace and Freedom Party; Elsa Knight Thompson moderates.
