View of the decaying facade of Mission San Luis Rey. The photograph is a sepia image with a yellow border.
Printed on recto: San Luis Rey Mission. Founded June 13, 1798 by Father Fermin Lasuen. This was the eighteenth mission in the California chain. Named for Louis IX, King of France, 1215-1270 and canonized in 1290. Also called Mission San Luis Rey de Francia. This was the physically largest of the California missions. This image has a yellow border and is mounted on a gray card.
Scanned with Microtek Scanmaker 1000XL Pro; as a 600 dpi TIFF image in 24-bit RGB color. Auto Level image processing applied and compressed into JPEG format using Photoshop CS3.
