Description
The Herald-Express Woody with white-walls and "Mobile Radiophone" signage is parked in front of a colonnade. Photo caption reads: "The Herald-Express new radio-telephone automobile. It will bring to readers 'first with the latest' news with jet-like speed". Photo dated: Feb. 25, 1947. The Express (founded ca. 1871) and the Examiner (founded in 1903) merged in 1962 to form the Herald-Examiner.
